We are proud to announce a major milestone in our commitment to fire safety excellence – J Fire Safety is now officially IFC Certified.
Following an intensive and comprehensive audit of our factory production control systems, along with rigorous testing of our doorset products and materials, we have successfully met the requirements of the SDP 01 Timber Fire Door Scheme v3.9.
This certification is a testament to the quality, consistency, and reliability of our fire door manufacturing processes. It provides our clients with independent assurance that every certified product is manufactured to the highest standards of safety and performance.
What the Certification Covers
As part of the process, our products were tested in accordance with:
- BS 476: Part 22: 1987 – Fire resistance tests for building elements
- BS 476: Part 31.1: 1983 – Methods for measuring smoke penetration through doorsets and other openings
These standards ensure that our fire doors meet recognised benchmarks for fire resistance and smoke control – two critical components in protecting lives and property during a fire.
